Nothing to see here, folks, just more positive polling data for Donald J. Trump:
This is from the Cook Political Report, a polling aggregation and analysis group that was essentially a precursor to 538.org. Charlie Cook, the group’s founder, is an old Lloyd Bentson moderate Democrat, a highly endangered species in 21st century America. Despite its moderate, bi-partisan reputation, the Cook Report’s analysis has trended well left since 2015, coincidentally the year in which Trump began his first run for the presidency.
Funny how that works.
Like 538 and RealClearPolitics, the Cook Report picks and chooses which polls to include in its aggregated averages, which is why the table above, published yesterday, is really striking to me.
