It’s always a cringe moment for Houston and Texas whenever Sheila Jackson Lee is in the news. The mere mention of the name inspires the certainty that something incredibly, inexplicably stupid is about to happen.
Well, on Wednesday, it happened again.
Speaking to an eclipse-viewing gathering of students at teachers at Houston’s Booker T. Washington high school Monday, this member of congress and rumored “graduate” from Yale School of Law gave the audience a lesson in a form of “science” that only a damn ignorant fool could hold in their tiny brain.
According to Sheila, the moon is a “planet” that is a “complete rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gases.” This would come as a big surprise to Neil Armstrong and the other American astronauts who have walked around on that celestial body.
But Sheila wasn’t done there - oh, no, not even close.
