[Note: Heather Cook is my friend, and a long-time subscriber here. She and her husband Nathan, also my friend, are both graduates of the University of Texas, where Nathan played football and Heather was a standout cheerleader. Heather is a wonderful mother to three strapping boys. While raising her family and running a business, Heather also managed to find time obtain a law degree and is now doing legal work.
She is, in other words, a truly great American, someone I really admire. Being a great American, she doesn’t agree with everything I write - I hope none of you do - and sent an email to me this week containing her thoughts about RFK, Jr. and the vaccine issue. I found it to be - not surprisingly - incredibly thoughtful and insightful and wanted to share it with readers here.]
My current thoughts on RFKJ and public health:
Most doctors DO care about root causes of sickness.
Most doctors DO NOT jump straight to pharmaceuticals in therapy.
Most doctors are NOT in the pocket of pharmaceutical companies.
MOST science on the safety & efficacy of vaccines is sound, robust, long term, and plentiful.
MOST ALL pediatricians do not want to harm children.
MOST doctors do not go to 4-20 years of schooling to harm people or take a lazy approach to caring for their patients.
Most doctors DO prescribe a good diet as first line therapy.
Most doctors DO prescribe exercise as first line therapy.
Most doctors ARE educated on health diets, exercise, and other wholistic measures.
Anti-vaccine sentiment is not new (around since at least 1906: Jacobson v. Massachusetts).
Vaccine requirements are not mandates.
MOST ALL vaccine requirements have exceptions (and in many states, exemptions are easy to achieve).
People already have a CHOICE.
The government broke our trust with the COVID lockdowns & vaccine mandates.
Covid, flu, HPV vaccines are not required for public school.
MOST doctors & scientists ARE curious and already asking questions about root causes of poor health.
Autism has already been proven to NOT be caused by vaccines (for decades now).
The HPV vaccine has already been proven safe & effective for the last 20 years.
We already KNOW the cause of some cancers (cervical, throat, anal, penile--and there is a vaccine to prevent those types of cancer).
Scientists have been looking for the cure to cancer for many decades now.
Childhood vaccines have already been PROVEN SAFE and EFFECTIVE at preventing or eradicating deadly diseases--no new "science" needed.
Many diseases that vaccines target can be DEADLY or have long term consequences for a child (even if the illness seems harmless).
No one is claiming ALL vaccines are safe for everybody (in fact, they're contraindicated in some people).
No one is saying vaccine injuries aren't real (but they are hard to prove and often rare).
Pharmaceutical companies are not fully shielded from liability for potential vaccine injuries.
It is a MYTH that you cannot sue a pharmaceutical company-just ask the personal injury lawyers.
Pharmaceutical companies will stop innovating new medicine for diseases that currently don't have treatment if they continue to be vilified unfairly.
We can disagree on how the government approaches MAHA without hating each other.
We can work together for children's health and safety.
RFKJ is not revolutionary in his desire to make America healthy again. Doctors have been working for this since the beginning of time. "Big Pharma" is not all evil. Medicines have done amazing things for our society. We can make America healthy again by giving options, not by demonizing innovation and technology. I'm thankful for the movement that has made us more aware and involved in our own healthcare and the health of the vulnerable in our society.
Prescribing a good diet and exercise by a doctor is often not heeded. People make their own choices about diet and exercise. Ask the doctors about their patients that will not give up their alcohol or vices, and then demand a wholistic approach to healthcare. Ask the doctors about their patients who "can't afford" a healthy lifestyle but can still afford a phone, tv, car, and beer. Doctors, do not lose heart, and thank you for all you do to care for patients daily.
I pray the Trump administration does not allow extreme measures to negatively impact our public health and safety. I pray they do not continue down this path to demonize doctors, pharmaceutical companies, researchers, and other healthcare workers.
My prediction is that RFKJ's democrat background and roots will show their true self soon, and he will implement large government programs mandating certain health measures. The conservatives will not like that--like in 2013, when the NY governor banned all sugary drinks over 16 ounces to insist citizens make healthy choices. It might be red meat, sweets, alcohol, or other things, but I predict RFKJ will overstep and cause a major rift in the administration (think Rex Tillerson, Michael Flynn, Reince Preibus, Anthony Scaramucci). I do not think RFKJ has been honest about his views on vaccines, on Medicaid, on Medicare, or on several other things. I think his charisma and charm have fooled many, but his true, blue-blood Kennedy self will make waves quickly. I hope and pray this is not true, but my 20 years of being a student of such topics tells me otherwise.
Lord be with us all and especially with the new administration. We need you now more than ever.
**these are all my own opinions, and I'm not being paid by anyone to say this.**

That is all.
A bunch of nonsense, but that's cool. There is so much evidence that vaccines are harmful. And RFK Jr. is right. They are NEVER tested against real placebos. The makers do not test, and they enjoy virtually absolute liability immunity. What a crock.
I spend my time as a health researcher trying to help people fix issues that medicine almost always makes worse.
Medicine is commanded by giant corporations who control Medicare and we just went through the so-called pandemic and witnessed their power.
Can’t disagree; I’m not a fan of any Kennedy, period.
