“No deal is better than a bad deal.” That’s what Donald Trump told Maria Bartiromo on her Fox News talk show Sunday, and he’s right.
The text of the border (no) security deal reached between Republican squishes James Lankford (OK) and Bill Cassidy (LA), and Majority leader Satan, er, Chuck Schumer was released Sunday. Despite protestations to the contrary by the bill’s main pushers - which also sadly include Arizona’s Kyrsten Sinema - it is exactly what we’ve said it is for the last two weeks: A recipe for permanent mass illegal immigration enshrined into federal law.
The whole thing is repugnant to the maintenance of US national sovereignty, but the most repugnant piece of it is the language that authorizes the US president - even a pretend POTUS like Old Joe Biden - to do nothing at all to attempt to halt or even slow the invasion of military-aged males from all corners of the world until that flow reaches 5,000 illegals per day.
