Another Week, Another GOP Betrayal, This Time in Texas
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has now called the current edition of the Texas Legislature back for 30-day special sessions four times since June. The current session is charged by the Governor to deal with reforms to the education system that were blocked in the utterly corrupt House of Representatives by utterly corrupt Speaker Dade Phelan, a RINO in the mold of Mitt Romney.
There. I said it.
At question is whether Texas should create a voucher system that would enable middle- and lower-income parents a choice about where to send their kids to be educated. Such systems have already been adopted in numerous Red states and are likely to be created in more of those states in the years to come. The reason why is simple: Everywhere they’ve been tried, the quality of education in both public and private schools has improved.
