Howard Stern’s career in radio started in 1976, just 3 years into Joe Biden’s first term in the US Senate. So, it was appropriate that Stern served as softball-tossing lapdog for the pretend POTUS in a staged interview last week. It was a sad coda for both men’s careers.
Howard Stern was for many years the second most influential radio host in America, always overshadowed by the great Rush Limbaugh, whose audience was at least triple in size, and societal impact many times more than that. But for those on the political left, Stern has pretty much always been the only real radio game in town. A bunch of lefties tried mounting something called “Air America” starting back in 2004, but it only lasted for 6 years and never attracted an audience that even registered in the ratings in most markets.
The reason is simple: Nobody really wants to listen to lies and smears for 3 hours, which is all leftism in America is about anymore. It really is that simple.
