BOOM: Trump Issues Memo Ordering Dramatic Reductions in Federal Bureaucracy

President Donald Trump signed a memo Wednesday to all federal department heads ordering them to identify and begin executing massive downsizing of their respective workforces in the administration’s push to reduce the size and cost of government.

The memo orders Department and agency heads to create reorganization plans and submit them to the White House no later than March 13. Departments responsible for public safety and national security - like law enforcement, border security, and defense - are exempt.
