Campaign Update: Ratcliffe to CIA, Musk & Ramaswamy at DOGE, Hegseth to Defense
The military/industrial complex and its toadies and grifters in the media and congress took on a mass case of the vapors Tuesday night after Donald Trump named his nominee for Secretary of Defense:
That’s right: Pete Hegseth, a decorated veteran of the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan who has worked as the weekend host of Fox & Friends for the past several years, will be Trump’s nominee for Defense Secretary. Hegseth is, as so many Trump picks are, an unconventional choice for this particular job, an outsider of the DC Swamp who has been frequently critical of Pentagon leadership.
Naturally, the grifters in the Swamp’s political class and their Deep State media defenders leapt to defame Hegseth as “unqualified” for the job, hilariously using the reasoning that he’s an outsider and doesn’t understand the Byzantine bureaucracies inside the Pentagon.
