Trump might get all of his nominees: Yesterday, I theorized the RINO Usual Suspects in the Senate would probably conspire to kill one of Trump’s final three “controversial” nominees as a show of power. I set the chances of all three of Tulsi Gabbard, Kash Patel, and RFK, Jr. at no better than 50%.
After further consideration and surveying the scene for the past 24 hours, I’m now putting those odds at a better-than-even, 70-30 chance they all skate through. They all were excellent in their hearings and did themselves a ton of good. Combine that with the hyper-absurdity of the Democrats’ behavior in the hearings, and it seems increasingly unlikely that Senate Rs will kill any of them.
Even Dr. Bill Cassidy, the life-long Democrat masquerading as a Republican from Louisiana, will have a hell of a time explaining to GOP primary voters next year how he can justify having voted to confirm pretend woman Rachel Levine in 2021, but decided to vote against RFK, Jr. now. That is not a choice that can be adequately explained away.
