Campaign Update: The Kay Granger Story is an Embarrassment to Texas and a Danger to the Country

Texas has become chock full of congressional embarrassments in recent years as its number of seats in the House have grown with its population. From Dan Crenshaw to Big John Cornyn to Chip Roy, Texas voters have made a depressing habit of sending some real skunks and snakes to represent them in Washington, DC., especially among the Republican ranks.

I mean, we expect this kind of crap from Democrats, so nobody pays attention to it when they do it. But nominal Rs like Cornyn, Crenshaw, and Roy supporting the scam impeachment of Donald Trump in 2020? C’mon, man.

But perhaps the most embarrassing story of all is the story about Fort Worth congress member Kay Granger which broke late last week. Granger, a former Fort Worth Mayor who has served in congress since 1997, serves as chair of the House Appropriations Committee, so she’s not just some back bencher.
