Well, this wasn’t the story anyone expected to see at the top of their newsfeed this morning, was it? It certainly wasn’t on my Bingo card, anyway.
According to the Wall Street Journal, President-elect Donald Trump is already considering pulling the plug on his nomination of Pete Hegseth to be Secretary of Defense. That part’s not all that surprising given the pushback that nomination has generated from the media and the war pig RINOs in the U.S. Senate, though I think it would be a terrible move for Trump to take at this moment in time.
But the second part, the claim by the WSJ’s reporters that Trump is seriously considering naming Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, aka, America’s most effective governor in any state for the past 6 years, as the replacement nominee, is definitely surprising, if unlikely. More on that in a minute.
