CNN, MSNBC Get Their Wish: 5 Dead, 40 Injured in Wisconsin Domestic Terror Attack on Parade
I wrote a piece Sunday morning about the existential threat the corrupt, divisive news media poses to our nation, and the way in which their dishonest, race-baiting coverage of the Rittenhouse trial exemplified the nature of that threat. Here’s what I wrote in part:
These 24-hour cable news operations are evil. They are an existential threat to our society. I include not just CNN and MSNBC, but also Fox News and NewsMax in this, and have sworn off watching any of their discussion panel programs, though I still occasionally tune into Bret Baier’s evening straight news show and Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday morning program.
These cable news operations exist now solely to divide our country. Whether their bias is from the right or the left, their panel discussion shows are purely divisive elements in our society. And please don’t tell me that the guy you agree with is somehow better than the guy you don’t agree with, because you only believe that because you agree with the guy you agree with, ok? I agree with pretty much everything Tucker Carlson says, for example, but he is every bit as divisive as Joy Reid or Fredo Cuomo.
Yes, I understand that 98% of the news media is biased to the left and has been biased to the left forever. I’ve written about that reality in a wide variety of platforms since 1986. I get it.
But before CNN was invented, that pervasive media bias was a minor annoyance to the vast majority of the country. It was very easy to listen to Uncle Walter for 30 minutes in the evening and then tune it all out and get on with our lives for the rest of the day. Before the dawn of 24-hour cable conflict programming, most newspapers at least made an effort to restrict their opinionizing to their editorial pages and focus on straight news otherwise.
Our country cannot survive this neverending assault on our senses, telling us that our neighbors might be evil because they support Donald Trump or plan to vote for the seemingly nice housewife down the street to serve on the local school board.
We can’t survive the Justice Department telling the FBI to send jackbooted thugs to knock down the door of Sherronna Bishop, a housewife who has been working to defeat radical leftists running for school board spots in Colorado. That actually happened, and the corrupt news media has formed a basic blackout on reporting it.
We can’t survive that level of media corruption.

Sunday evening, the evil, race-baiting ghouls at MSNBC and CNN got their wish, as Darrell Brooks, a 39 year-old career criminal who also happens to be African American, sped his red SUV through an active Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin, plowing through a band and a drill team, killing at least 5 people and sending another 40 to the hospital.
Witnesses reported that the driver was swerving through the crowd, intentionally targeting children as young as 9 to maximize his body count. Police, of course, told the corrupt media that it was not an act of terror, and that the guy was fleeing from a crime scene where multiple stabbings had occurred.
Sure.
Whatever, CNN and MSNBC’s constant advocacy of street violence like this got them another prize, a mass killing for them to spend hours intentionally mis-reporting and building a false narrative around, a narrative that will no doubt rationalize the act and advocate for more acts just like it. Because that is why these 24-hour news operations remain in business.
They will find a way to turn Mr. Brooks into a hero, just as they did with career criminal and woman-abuser George Floyd last summer. They will fill panels with race hucksters who will assure us all that Mr. Brooks only did what he did because of white supremacy, and any effort to prosecute him in our criminal justice system will be another act of that same white supremacy. They’ll bring in writers for the New York Times who will tell us that you can trace Mr. Brooks’s act all the way back to 1619, and that he should be lauded rather than punished.
This is why CNN and MSNBC continue to exist - to divide and destroy our republic. Sunday’s mass killing proves they are succeeding.
That is all.
A bit surprised it wasn’t a mass shooting, as that is SOP from the left after a verdicts such as Rittenhouse’s. 🙄
