Debbie Dingell is the Perfect Metaphor for the Entire Democrat Party Today

Aging, tired, bereft of ideas, uncaring about the good of the country, interested solely in the acquisition and maintenance of political power for its own sake. These are the most visible attributes of today’s Democrat Party.

Those attributes were on perfect display during a hearing on Wednesday by tired, old, thoughtless Michigan Democrat Debbie Dingell. Dingell is a member of congress whose only qualification for the job was that it was essentially willed to her by her late husband, the long-serving John Dingell. Since succeeding her hubby upon his demise, Dingell has kept her husband’s tradition alive, achieving nothing good for the American people, wielding her power to her personal aggrandizement and little else, and failing to express a single original thought in public.

Her taking a nap during a long hearing, captured for posterity by a member of the audience, thus provides the perfect metaphor not just for her husband’s legacy, but for her entire, despicable political party.
