I’ve always been a Dennis Quaid fan. He’s not the greatest actor in the world, but he’s made some of my favorite movies, like DOA, Everybody’s All-American, The Big Easy, The Right Stuff, Wyatt Earp, A Dog’s Purpose, The Long Riders, Frequency, and Reagan. Not the greatest movies, but films I enjoy. And he isn’t great in them, but he’s good. He’s solid. You can tell he’s worked hard at it, and I admire that.
Besides, Quaid’s a Texas native, born in 1954 in Houston, so he gets bonus points for that. Plus, he starred in the only movie about Ronald Reagan’s life that gave the Gipper a fair treatment, which no doubt pissed everyone in Hollywood off, so there’s that, too.
But now, Dennis Quaid just rocketed to the top of my list of favorite actors, right up there with Denzel Washington, after his interview with Fox News host Piers Morgan. Talk about pissing off everyone in Hollywood, Quaid told Morgan that he’s planning to vote for - gasp! - Donald Trump in November.
Even better, Quaid bluntly pointed out what everyone knows, that Old Joe Biden is not mentally capable of continuing in the job. Oh, the humanity!
