First, woke leftist icon Whoopi Goldberg gets suspended at ABC; now, Jeff Zucker, pernicious CEO of CNN, abruptly resigns as news of a long-time affair with his chief deputy at the fake news operation goes public.
News of the affair with Allison Gollust, CNN’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, was brought to light in the course of an internal investigation into Zucker’s role in keeping Chris Cuomo employed despite Fredo’s myriad ethical lapses on the job, including helping his bro, disgraced ex-New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, slander a bevy of women who accused him of sexual assault and harassment. Interestingly, Gollust, who has worked, ummmmm, under Zucker at CNN for 20 years now, left her marriage a few years ago, right about the time Zucker was going through a messy divorce of his own. Now we know why.
Even more interestingly - and frankly inexplicably - Ms. Gollust is going to be allowed to keep her job even as her boyfriend is shuttled out the door:
Ms. Gollust said in a statement on Wednesday that she was remaining in her role at CNN.
“Jeff and I have been close friends and professional partners for over 20 years,” she wrote. “Recently, our relationship changed during Covid. I regret that we didn’t disclose it at the right time. I’m incredibly proud of my time at CNN and look forward to continuing the great work we do everyday.”
And even more interesting and inexplicably than all of that, Gollust has been mentioned as Zucker’s most likely replacement, despite her co-responsibility for years of abject failure and woefully declining ratings at the fakest fake news outlet on earth.
Zowie. What else would we expect from this shoddy disaster of an operation?
But wait, there’s more!
Even more interesting than all of that, Radar Online, a Hollywood gossip site that has vastly more journalistic integrity than CNN could ever dream of owning, reported a month ago that Gollust’s influence on Zucker - pillow talk, maybe? - was the main reason why Zucker insisted on keeping Fredo on-board despite his serial improprieties at CNN. And the main reason why she was so insistent was due to her own relationship with…wait for it… Andrew Cuomo, the serial woman abuser!
I swear I do not make this stuff up:
The CNN insider was adamant that Chris had initially escaped punishment for his role in advising his brother over his scandal because of Gollust’s influence on Zucker – and her own connections to the Cuomo machine…
“Allison runs the show; she is the number two to Jeff,” said the well-placed informant.
“One of the reasons why CNN failed to take swift disciplinary action against Chris Cuomo, is because of the relationship Allison has with Governor Andrew Cuomo.
“The fact that the upper management at CNN, starting with Jeff as the network’s president, never disciplined Chris in the first instance for his taking a hand in guiding his governor brother through the scandals begs the question: Did Zucker and Gollust have a colossal conflict of interest that sparked their inaction?”
[End]
Given all of this sleaze, can it really be any wonder then that CNN continues to employ Jeffrey Toobin, the “legal analyst” who got caught spanking his monkey while participating in a staff Zoom call in 2020? Can it be any wonder that not one, but two of the fake news channel’s senior producers have been revealed as pedophiles in the last month? Can it really be any wonder that Fox News host Tucker Carlson now commands a larger audience of liberals than his competition at CNN does?
No. No wonder at all.
Finally, given all of this and so much more, isn’t Jeff Zucker’s no-longer-secret on-the-job squeeze the perfect person to replace him as CEO?
Oh, my, yes. She is totally perfect.
That is all.
Oh my, the tangled webs perverts weave!
"and her own connections to the Cuomo machine"…ROFLMAO
