The J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington, DC
Much as I hate to be quoting Elon Musk at this point, we have to admit that Musk got it 100% right when, in the midst of the controversy over USAID, he pointed out that we can tell which members of congress have personal income at stake in the various grifts and frauds contained in that now-dead budget by simply observing those who object the loudest to getting rid of it. Sadly, we witnessed some Republicans, mainly of the RINO variety, including themselves among the mostly-Democrat ranks of obvious grifters in recent months.
I’m going to speculate here that a similar phenomenon is now at play in the Senate Appropriations Committee related to a dust-up over the Trump administration’s plans to save taxpayers several billion dollars by moving the FBI’s headquarters to offices in the massive Ronald Reagan complex a few blocks from the White House formerly occupied by…wait for it…USAID.
