Crises like the war in Ukraine never fail to bring out the worst in liberal celebrities, this hubris-ridden class of Hollywood idiots who seem to believe that playing a role in some minor TV show or making movies somehow elevates them to some sort of demi-god stature in our society. It doesn’t do that, of course, but these are people who never let inconvenient reality get in the way of living out their fantasies.
The easy accessibility to social media only serves to make it all worse.
Take AnnaLynne McCord as a prime example. I honestly had no clue who this person was before she sent this little Twitter missive to Vlad Putin on Thursday:
Here’s a partial transcript:
“Dear President Vladimir Putin, I’m so sorry that I was not your mother,” she begins.
“If I was a mother, you would have been so loved, held in the arms of joyous light. Never would this story’s plight, the world unfurled before our eyes, a pure demise of nation sitting peaceful under the night sky. If I was your mother, the world would have been warm.”
“So much laughter and joy and nothing would harm. I can’t imagine the stain, the soul-stealing pain that the little boy you must have seen and believed and the formulation of thought quickly taught that you lived in a cruel, unjust world.”
“I can’t imagine how it feels in your heart, but I know if I was your mother, I would be a start.”
[End]
My goodness.
Honestly, I still don’t have much idea who this person is even now, after seeing this video and reading a couple of stories about it. I’d never seen her before, and hope to never see or hear from her again.
But hey, she got to live out her fantasy of being the mother of a butcherous tyrant, so cool for her.
Then, of course, the spectre of Sean Penn reared its ugly head yesterday, as it always very predictably does during any world crisis:
Hey, everybody, we’re saved and so is Ukraine! Sean Penn’s on the case! Yayyyyy!
Holy crap. This is what NBC considers to be “news” now.
This clown has been pulling this “I’m somehow relevant during a crisis” crap for more than 30 years now, always fueled by media idiots who pay attention to the press releases he sends their way. At this point, it’s really kind of amazing that NBC’s Gen-Z-filled news room even knows who this asshat is.
Eventually, none of them will, and that will be a blessing for us all.
Speaking of Putin and Ukraine, the Kremlin put out this warning late Thursday:
My only reaction to this is, why bother? Europe and the U.S. have been self-imposing sanctions on themselves where Russia is concerned for a quarter of a century now. Just allowing Putin to participate in the G20 and chair the UN Security Council are major sanctions on the free world. The European quasi-democracies have made themselves hostage to Russian natural gas by refusing to exploit their own massive shale resources. Russia is the 3rd-largest exporter of crude oil into the United States, even after all of Putin’s history of aggression.
Hell, the entirety of America’s Democrat party and the corporate media establishment used Putin as the key boogeyman in a 4-year hoax to justify a neverending coup d'état effort on U.S. soil. Putin should save his energy and just allow the West to continue its concerted efforts at self-destruction.
Speaking of self-imposed stupidity, the Biden Administration is apparently planning to double-down on epic failure by releasing millions more barrels of oil from our country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve in this time of global crisis:
Biden, you may remember, already tried releasing 50 million barrels from the SPR last November in what he said was an effort to stop rising gasoline prices. The price of gas at the pump is 30 cents higher now than it was then. So, having utterly failed, his answer is “hey, let’s try it again! It’ll surely work this time!”
*sigh*
No one in this energy-ignorant administration seems to realize that the reason why the SPR exists is so that our country has a reservoir of 30-50 days of daily oil supply in the event of a global emergency. Thus, every tranche of millions of barrels that the Sock Puppet takes out of it has a negative impact on our national security. This is not a trifling thing, not a political tool to be used willy nilly by self-serving politicians.
Well, not until now, anyway.
But then, reducing our nation’s security is a feature of the Biden presidency, not a glitch:
It’s almost as if these people want Putin to do us great harm, and are just spelling it all out for him. Why not just put together a video guided tour of those 16 entities and email it to Vlad@Kremlin.com?
Finally, there was this from the White House yesterday afternoon:
Here’s the key part of the Transcript:
“Ultimately, the goal of our sanctions is to make this a strategic failure for Russia; and let’s define a little bit of what that means. Strategic success in the 21st century is not about a physical land grab of territory; that’s what Putin has done. In this century, strategic power is increasingly measured and exercised by economic strength, by technological sophistication and your story – who you are, what your values are; can you attract ideas and talent and goodwill? And on each of those measures, this will be a failure for Russia.”
[End]
That’s right: That is your Deputy National Security Advisor, a mental midget named Daleep Singh, telling you that things like military might and energy security are no longer important when determining “strategic power.” No, what really matters is, like, you know, your story and values and stuff, or something.
God, please save us from these idiots.
That is all.
