Friday's Absurdity of the Day: $450K for Illegal Aliens, 30% for the ACLU
The Air Force One flight carrying the Sock Puppet and his fake doctor wife hadn’t yet landed in Rome when news broke Thursday that his increasingly evil administration is ratcheting up the outrage yet again, this time considering paying enormous “reparations” to illegal immigrant “families” who were temporarily inconvenienced by being separated during the Trump administration.
It’s not just some minor sum of money under consideration, mind you, it’s a lot of money, upwards of a million bucks per family. Not kidding - who could possibly make this stuff up?
Here’s an excerpt from the story at Daily Wire:
President Joe Biden faced significant backlash on Thursday evening over a report from The Wall Street Journal that said that the administration was considering paying illegal aliens that were separated from their families under the previous administration up to $450,000 each.
“The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child.”
There was widespread backlash from Biden’s political opponents over the report, including:
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA): “Pure insanity. The Biden administration is reportedly looking to pay $450,000 to illegal immigrants who knowingly broke the law. It’s a slap in the face to our law-abiding citizens who wake up, go to work, and pay their taxes.”
Donald Trump Jr.: “Holy S**t!!! The Democrats insane. You lost your business, your job, family members whose funerals you couldn’t attend. The IRS wants to audit you if you had $600 in your bank account the government gave you $2000, but if you’re inconvenienced coming here illegally $450,000 EACH!”
Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO): “Joe Biden wants to raise your taxes, but give $450,000 to illegal immigrants. Biden is putting America last.”
Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY): “Our southern border is already a crisis now. Just think what will happen when Joe Biden pays $450,000 to illegal immigrants who previously crossed the border. Joe Biden is pouring kerosene on an already raging fire.”
Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX): “Biden wants to pay illegal immigrants $450,000 for their hardship while breaking our laws. For perspective, if a service member is killed in action, their next of kin gets an insurance payment of $400,000. Let that sink in.”

There’s much more, but you get the picture. $450k per parent, and if the track record thus far of this evil administration is any indication, most of the recipients would not be “parents” at all, but unrelated adults who were enlisted by Coyotes to pretend to be parents of children whose real parents back in Colombia or Honduras had abandoned them to take part in one of the myriad Democrat-organized and funded “caravans” that assaulted our border during the Trump years.
Oh, and guess which Marxist organization is representing these “parents” in the lawsuits the Sock Puppet minions are considering settling with this disgusting payoff? The ACLU, of course.

The American Civil Liberties Union, which represents families in one of the lawsuits, has identified about 5,500 children separated at the border over the course of the Trump administration, citing figures provided to it by the government. The number of families eligible under the potential settlement is expected to be smaller, the people said, as government officials aren’t sure how many will come forward. Around 940 claims have so far been filed by the families, the people said.
The total potential payout could be $1 billion or more.

Yes, friends, just when you think this story can’t get any worse or more absurd, they go and fool you.
See, the ACLU isn’t just looking for a huge payoff here - they will take 30% of the proceeds, naturally - they’re also looking for amnesty for these illegal aliens who broke U.S. law by entering the country illegally:
“President Biden has agreed that the family separation policy is a historic moral stain on our nation that must be fully remedied,” said Lee Gelernt, deputy director of the ACLU’s immigrant-rights project and a lead negotiator on one of the lawsuits. “That remedy must include not only meaningful monetary compensation, but a pathway to remain in the country.”
I love the term “moral stain on our nation” coming from the ACLU. Classic case of Alinskyite projection there.
The other “moral stain on our nation” in this story - the pro-abortion-until-birth Sock Puppet - eventually landed in Rome, where his 80-car-long caravan disrupted traffic for over an hour so he could meeting with yet another “moral stain” on the world, the first Marxist Pope.
And thus, the circle of moral stainery was closed, at least for one day.

It's sad that, as Americans, we're powerless to stop this insanity. We've allowed the lunatics to take control of the asylum--and as a result of a stolen election that should never have been allowed to stand. But, the Left act and the GOP dithers...or capitulates. I guess we've made our bed by complacently allowing the Democrats to subvert the entire political process. The only way we'll ever be able to check this insane radical spending is with a tax revolt. Eventually folks will stop paying taxes.
