Friday's Absurdity of the Day: Couric's Protection of Ginsburg Exemplifies Media Corruption

Former Today show host Katie Couric admitted to editing out negative comments made by Ruth Bader Ginsburg about people who kneel during the national anthem. In her new memoir, Going There, Couric writes that her political views influenced the edits made to her interview with the late Supreme Court justice in 2016.
Ginsburg supposedly said those who kneel show 'contempt for a government that has made it possible for their parents and grandparents to live a decent life.' The story in question, published by Yahoo! News in 2016, saw Couric quote, Ginsburg, stating that refusing to stand for the anthem was 'dumb and disrespectful' but omitted more problematic remarks. The former host writes she thought the justice, who was 83 at the time, was 'elderly and probably didn't fully understand the question.'
Couric, 64, contends she always tried to remove her 'personal politics' from her reporting throughout her career, reported the Daily Mail. But she faced a 'conundrum' when Ginsburg commented about Colin Kaepernick, the former NFL player who kneeled during the national anthem to protest against racial injustice.
Ginsburg said that people like Kaepernick were 'dumb and disrespectful.' Couric said the comments were 'unworthy of a crusader for equality' as a liberal Supreme Court justice. The day after the interview, the head of public affairs for the Supreme Court emailed Couric to say the late justice had 'misspoken' and asked her to remove it from the story.

Couric, a dedicated Democrat operative who has pretended to be a “journalist” on NBC and other platforms for far too long, said that she was “protecting” Ginsburg, “who was elderly and probably didn’t understand the question.”
But of course, Couric was pleased as punch to have this elderly individual who had been physically in decline and obviously cognitively impaired for many years before that interview sitting on the supreme court of the United States and pretending to issue rulings from on high that her staff had fully researched and written. She was glad Ginsburg was there and hoping she’d go on for another decade if that was what it took to keep the seat in the hands of a radical leftist activist, which is what Ginsburg was.
Everyone in the media knew about Ginsburg’s decline and inability to do her job, yet they were all, to a person willing to provide cover for her, mainly because they all knew Ginsburg was a vote in favor of the Democrat religion of abortion on demand.
If all of this sounds somewhat familiar to you, it should. It’s exactly what the entirety of the news media has been doing with the Sock Puppet-in-Chief, China Joe Biden, since the day he announced his candidacy for the presidency in April 2019. They all know Biden is in physical decline - they see it every time he shuffles to or from his helicopter for his latest “vacation” to his mansion in Delaware. They all can clearly see he is cognitively impaired - the hear it every time he stammers through reading a speech he tries to read from his ever-present TelePrompter. They see it every time he walks away without taking any questions.
A very significant majority of Americans can see all of this about Biden, too, a reality that is increasingly reflected in the polls, whose Democrat operatives are starting to realize they can no longer continue providing the same cover the media provides for Biden and remain going concerns.
The simple fact of the matter is that the Sock Puppet rarely takes questions because his evil, elder-abusing handlers know he is incapable of competently doing so. They know it is a great risk to ever allow him to try to answer a question from a reporter, even the most innocuous softball that they love to ask him, not just because he rarely understands what he is being asked, but also because they don’t know what kind of offensive, sexist or racist nonsense might come flying out of his mouth.
Like Ginsburg in that interview with Couric, Biden is so impaired that he is losing his social filter; thus, his handlers know they simply can never willingly place him in an unscripted situation. The lapdog reporters all understand this, which is why they’re perfectly willing to laugh off his constant walk-aways after speeches, or agree to pre-submit questions to his handlers so they can be called on during Biden’s increasingly rare press availabilities.
So, while the news the last few days has focused on Katie Couric and her protection shield around Ruth Bader Ginsburg, it is completely wrong to thing she is somehow an exception to the rule in the media. The fact of the matter is that Couric’s behavior is the rule for the media in this administration, just another glaring example of the utter and complete corrupt of the entire media establishment.
Don’t kid yourselves otherwise.
