Friday's Absurdity of the Day: Jussie Smollet Guilty, Complicit Media Unashamed

The corrupt, complicit news media was on trial the last few weeks every bit as much as Jussie Smollett was. Media figures like Robin Roberts, Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, George Stephanopoulos, April Ryan, Fredo Cuomo, Jake Tapper, Yamiche Alcindor, and so many others who pushed Smollett’s hoax on TV, across social media and in print all deserved to be named as co-defendants in the case.

In a truly just society, the verdict in the Smollett trial - guilty on 5 of 6 charges - would be applied by the employers of these fake journalist creeps and used to justify their firing at the very least. But because the honchos at these corrupt media outlets shared the goals of these fake journalists of using Smollett’s outrageous hoax to damage President Donald Trump and demonize Trump’s supporters, there will be no consequences exacted on any of them.

My very first reaction upon reading initial reports about Smollett’s ludicrous hate crime allegations was to put up a quick post on my former blog that this was an obvious hoax. It was the most transparent sham ever. Any human being with functioning synapses in their cranial cavity could see that from the beginning. But of course, for the media and their Democrat masters, it’s never about the truth: It’s always about seeking political advantage.

So every blue-check fake journalist on Twitter immediately leapt into the effort to push out the story. Anchors at every network and cable news operation jumped into a shoving match to see who among them could be the first to land that interview with poor, beaten-up Jussie, who they all seemed to know and socialize with. Go figure.

Robin Roberts landed that role, obviously because Smollett knew she would serve as a safe conduit for his hoax. Here’s a snippet from that little parade of softballs:

Although Roberts claimed after the fact that she could see some “red flags” about Smollett’s story, she took great care not to confront her buddy with any of them in any real way during the interview. She laughably told an audience later that “All I wanted was to get to the truth. All I wanted was to give the truth.”

Robin Roberts, like everyone else at ABC News, wouldn’t recognize the truth if it walked up and slapped her in her corrupt face.

Thus, she failed. More accurately, she really didn’t even try. Smollett emerged unscathed from that little love-fest, so much so that corrupt, Soros-funded prosecutors in Chicago initially believed they could get away with just setting the acting mediocrity free. But hey, Roberts was far from the only complicit media figure in this case, and to be fair to the media - something I always hate doing - they had the full support from major figures in their Democrat Party, including the current nominal President and Vice President:

Those tweets remained live on on Biden’s and Harris’s Twitter feeds yesterday.

You will see no apologies from Biden or Harris or anyone in the complicit media. Because any apology to the public for their malfeasance - knowing malfeasance in most cases - would amount to an apology to President Trump and his 75 million voters, whom they all detest.

Leaders in the gay community, major Hollywood figures and race hucksters like Al Sharpton and Maxine Waters also owe the public an apology for their roles in promoting Smollett’s hoax, but the same principle applies to them as well. They all hate you and wish you were dead, too.

But back to the corrupt news media: This case exemplifies again how the media corrupts our society and represents a clear and existential threat to the survival of our Republic. Almost 3 years have passed since January, 2019, when Smollett called Chicago police to his apartment and alleged that he had been beaten up on the street in the freezing cold by two white men wearing MAGA hats. In all that time, there has never been a single moment when the story the actor told to the cops that night was in any way, shape or form credible. Never a second. Yet, the corrupt media platforms have marched along, doing everything they could to support the obvious hoax, doing everything they could to divide our society along racial lines, all to support the political goals of the Democrat party.

That’s the truth, a concept that has long been lost by Robin Roberts and everyone else in our corrupt news media.

Jussie Smollett will almost certainly serve jail time for his outrageous crimes against our society, but no one in our complicit media will suffer in any way, shape or form for their outrageous conduct related to this case. They will simply move on to promoting the next hoax that they believe helps their Democrat party masters, and our country will continue to decline as a result.

And hey, that’s their goal.
