Friday's Fabulous Absurdities: San Fran Nan, Thousands of Twitter Employees, Exit Stage Left Together
What a glorious day it is, a truly great day for America, as San Fran Nan announced she would not seek re-election to her party’s leadership for the next congress:
Sadly, her one-person pestilence remain a presence in the House of Representatives, presumably because she needs to make a few more insider trades before she can feel really financially secure. She’s only worth a few hundred million, after all.
As for her not seeking to be the next Minority Leader for the Democrats, perhaps a report from NBC Bay Area News has something to do with it:
Reporter Bigad Shaban notes that SFPD body cam footage clearly shows Nan’s wayward husband Paul Pelosi calmly opening the door for police when they arrived at his home in response to the 911 call he had been allowed to make by his “attacker” that evening:
"This all has to do with the moments, seconds really, just before Paul Pelosi was struck in the head with a hammer inside his San Francisco home. Now, there continues to be contradicting accounts of a relatively simple question," Shaban told viewers. "Who opened the door that night when San Francisco police arrived to the Pelosi house?"
Shaban explained that a federal indictment indicates "two officers" opened the door, but the San Francisco District Attorney’s office had previously stated, "Mr. Pelosi opened the door with his left hand."
Shaban then cited "a source familiar with the investigation who personally watched the police body camera footage from that night," and said officers "knocked on the door of the Pelosi home, then backed away, and the video clearly shows Paul Pelosi open the door with his left hand."
"The body cam video shows officers having a brief conversation with Pelosi and David DePape… before DePape starts beating Pelosi with a hammer," Shaban reported. "We reached out to the Department of Justice for an explanation of its differing account of this seemingly innocuous issue of who opened the door, but so far, we have not heard back."
[End]
And so we see that DePape, the alleged perp, didn’t actually attack Mr. Pelosi until after the police arrived on the scene and had the door opened for them by Paul Pelosi. Both key items of evidence contradict the federal indictment of DePape in the case.
