This is too funny for words: Elon Musk followed through on his promise made months ago that Twitter would be removing the free, “legacy” blue checks from accounts that refuse to sign up for his $8 per month Twitter Blue service or complete a simple registration form to register as a verified organization or an affiliated person with such an organization. i.e., a reporter for a media platform like the NYTimes or the WaPo can still retain their cherished free blue check if those fake news platforms fill out the form.
Seems pretty simple and a standard part of every other walk of life in modern society, doesn’t it? Certainly not anything for anyone to get excited about.
Well, not for any normal person, anyway. But for all the leftwing “journalists” who have lorded their blue check status as badges of honor for the last decade or more, it presents a major life crisis. These people as a class have so little else good happening in their pathetic lives, so little else to cherish and believe in that Elon’s removal of their precious blue badge is akin to forcing them to take a walk of shame in a “Game of Thrones” episode.
They’re like a profession filled with Gollums who just lost their rings.
Speaking of the Gollums, it’s only appropriate that the despicable spreader of disinformation Aaron Rupar kicked things off with this bit of stupidity:
Mind you, Rupar’s entire life has revolved around his intentional, knowing spreading of outright lies about people he doesn’t like for at least 10 years now. But here he is, pretending he’d be fine if Twitter collapsed.
Sure, Aaron.
