In what must come as heartbreaking news for Michigan Democrats, Pete Buttigieg, who has never actually lived in their state, says he is dropping plans to run for the U.S. Senate seat left open by incumbent Gary Peters, who is retiring.
Buttigieg, who many depraved Dems laughably consider to be one of the party’s stars and a viable future presidential candidate, became Joe Biden’s Transportation Secretary in 2021 because he likes bicycles and once rode a choo-choo-train - and mainly because he’s gay - and established a Michigan address in Traverse City late in 2024 for the express purpose of running for the senate seat. His clear intention was to follow the Obama path and use a 2-year stint in the senate to serve as the launching point for a run for the Democrat party’s presidential nomination in 2028.
