Independence Day AOC: We Laugh at Her and Ignore Her at the Risk of the Country's Future

We all love snickering and guffawing at the crazy stuff that comes out of the gaping mouth of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC). That’s obviously because so much of what she says, shouts, posts and screams is undoubtedly clinically crazy.

That’s all a given, and I’m as guilty about doing this as anyone else.

But here’s the thing about AOC: Her brand of madness is not the isolated lunacy of an individual, but a reflection of collective madness of an already-large, growing, and increasingly influential segment of the Democrat voter base and power structure. The legacy media refers to these people as “progressives,” but in reality they represent a depressing political philosophy that blends Marxism, Alinskyism and authoritarianism into what would become a fatal cocktail for America as we have known it were it to ever gain full political power.

Thus, when this seemingly vapid lunatic speaks, she speaks for an ever-expanding number of fellow seemingly vapid lunatics, all of whom conspicuously lack any sense of self-awareness or ability to engage in quiet reflection whatsoever. They are a collection of vapid lunatics who are unalterably committed to destroying this country as we have known it, and we would do well to always keep this reality in mind.
