Manchin: "By all accounts...record inflation is not transitory"

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin, the only Democrat senator whose opinion really matters right now, issued the following tweet Wednesday morning:

By all accounts, the threat posed by record inflation to the American people is not “transitory” and is instead getting worse. From the grocery store to the gas pump, Americans know the inflation tax is real and DC can no longer ignore the economic pain Americans feel every day.

Manchin’s tweet comes in the midst of a Biden administration/media-coordinated propaganda effort to pretend that rising massive inflation caused directly by profligate government spending and money-printing is somehow a “transitory” phenomenon, despite all evidence to the contrary. The tweet also comes as Manchin and other members of congress await the official CBO score on the enormous, $1.75 trillion welfare expansion/green new deal subsidy bill the Democrats are now calling the “Build Back Better” bill.

That BBB bill, of course, has also been the focus of a separate Democrat/media propaganda effort which claims it is “fully paid for” and would thus “have zero cost” to the country. Manchin knows full well that the bill would in fact be funded by new debt and money-printing that would only serve to further devalue the already-devalued dollar and exacerbate the inflation problem.

Manchin’s message today is leading some to speculate he may be about to kill the BBB bill, regardless of whatever fake score the CBO decides to assign to it.
