The corrupt U.S. media has been in mourning the past few days over the passing of one of its ideological heroes, former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Gorbachev died last week - on my birthday, as it happened - at the age of 91 following a long illness.
The following paragraph in a story at the ridiculous Washington Post (an ostensible news organ so utterly corrupt that it keeps the despicable Taylor Lorenz in a job) pretty much said it all about the western media’s adoration of this communist:
Gorbachev is adored in the West for bringing the Cold War to an end, but his radical economic reforms made him a controversial, and at times despised, figure at home, and he was denied an official state funeral.
[End]
Had the Post’s writers edited that first sentence to read “Gorbachev is adored by the western media and liberal politicians” it would have gotten it exactly right. But then, getting anything exactly right is never the goal at the WaPo, is it? Nope.
