Monday's Absurdity: Joe Rogan Has a Bigger Audience Than CNN

It is quite an amazing social phenomenon in today’s age of utterly corrupt corporate journalism that the single most notable and popular real journalist in America right now is Joe Rogan, a former standup comic and wrestling announcer who has for the past two years run the most listened-to podcast on earth.

Here are some key reasons why Joe Rogan’s audience is now much larger than that of CNN and, on most days, MSNBC:

• Joe Rogan doesn’t do talking points;

• Joe Rogan doesn’t let his guests do talking points without being called on them;

• Like Tucker Carlson, the other singularly notable real journalist working in America today, Joe Rogan has a sense of humor;

• Joe Rogan is an equal opportunity interviewer. He will hammer any guest, regardless of their political or social views, who, like CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta, attempts to evade questions or spread disinformation on his show;

• Unlike basically all the “news” people and talk show hosts on cable and network news, Joe Rogan conducts his interviews with a genuine intent to derive real information from them. His competition - all of them - conduct their interviews from the standpoint of reaching a predetermined conclusion;

• Joe Rogan has a conversation with his guests for 3 hours and is able to thus explore all facets of any topic. On what the media considers to be “news” programs, a long interview lasts for one 7 minute segment. The feature stories on 60 Minutes go on for 2 segments. It’s a huge difference that denies the audience for those other programs the ability to really understand the issue under discussion;

• As a result of all of these factors, Joe Rogan’s podcast has provided more real, important actual information regarding COVID-19 to the public over the last two years than all governments on earth combined.

For all of his efforts, Joe Rogan finds himself being de-platformed by the evil social media giants as 2022 begins. His recent interviews with two highly-respected doctors in the field of contagious diseases and vaccines have been banned at YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, and the evil minions at Google are corrupting the search results for them.

Because of this, Rogan established an account at the latest fad social media platform, Gettr, over the weekend [@joerogan]. I have no idea if Gettr is going to have any better luck than Gab and several other recent social media attempts to gain critical mass have had, but Rogan’s presence there will certainly heighten its ability to attract a larger membership. Gettr’s management, in fact, said that Rogan’s decision helped drive a record day for new memberships on Sunday.

If you, like me, are constantly searching for credible sources of actual news, the absurdly corrupt nature of the traditional and social media today means you can do no better than Joe Rogan’s podcast. The fact that Rogan has a bigger audience than CNN tells you that we are not alone on this search. Yes, it’s absurd, but it is our reality in an America led by a Sock Puppet.
