Monday's Absurdity of the Day: Another Weekend at Bernie's Lost Weekend for America

It was another Weekend at Bernie’s lost weekend for the United States presidency, currently occupied by the China Sock Puppet and his evil handlers. Where do you even start with this stuff, really?

Let’s just start at the beginning, on Saturday, when ChinaJihad Joe was shoved out into a sit-down by his handlers with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. I kid you not, the ostensible president of the United States fell asleep as his Israeli counterpart was speaking. You don’t have to believe me: Just watch the video:

Really, Democrats, we ought to at least have a president who is able to remain awake during meetings with heads of state. No, seriously, it’s like a job requirement, or at least it used to be.

That was Saturday. On Sunday, things only got worse. That was the day when the Sock Puppet-in-Chief was shoved out before the cameras at Dover Air Force Base to pretend to care as the dignified transfer of the 13 U.S. military personnel who died in Afghanistan thanks to decisions supposedly made by the Sock Puppet took place.

U.S. Presidents of the past have actually experienced deep feelings and behaved in an appropriately dignified fashion during such ceremonies, but not this corrupt old weirdo. He was probably late for his afternoon tapioca pudding, and just could not resist looking at his watch as the coffins were taken down from their transport aircraft:

You just can’t make this stuff up, and why would anyone want to?

The Sock Puppet’s handlers next risked a complete and total breakdown by their addled patient, keeping him up well past his traditional all-afternoon nap and taking him to a nearby FEMA facility for a briefing about relief and support efforts related to massive Hurricane Ida, which was in the process of making landfall in Louisiana as a Cat 4 storm.

After the briefing had finished, the Sock Puppet was shoved before the TelePrompter to read some remarks that had been written for him before it began. Once finished with his daily reading, a time at which a normal, real president would have opened the floor up for whatever questions the assembled fake reporters might have for him, China Joe did this instead:

Sock Puppet: “I’m not supposed to take any questions, but go ahead…”

Reporter: “Mr. President, on Afghanistan…”

Sock Puppet: “I’m not gonna answer Afghanistan now.” Turns and wanders away.

“I’m not supposed to take any questions”. No, you’re supposed to be the president of the United States, you old nitwit. You’re supposed to possess the authority and mental capacity necessary to take whatever questions you want anytime you want.

Exactly who is it that this worthless Sock Puppet answers to? Who is it that orders him not to take questions when any normal, real president would do so? I’m honestly afraid to really know the answers to those questions.

In the midst of all of this absolute farce taking place in and around Washington, the Pentagon and State Department claimed to have made a “defensive” air strike in a residential neighborhood of Kabul, supposedly targeting another suicide bomber who was preparing for an attack. The locals there claim that, as a part of the collateral damage from this U.S. attack, 9 members of one family were killed, including 6 small children.

U.S. Central Command acknowledged the collateral damage, and then claimed it was the result of "powerful subsequent explosions resulting from the destruction of the vehicle, indicating a large amount of explosive material inside that may have caused additional casualties” as if any of that mealy-mouthed, self-justifying, blame-shifting crap matters.

And we wonder why they hate us and shout “Death to America” every chance they get. So hard to figure, huh?
