“Identifies as Asian, y’all.”
The rapid destruction of our language continues this morning in the wake of noted Asian actress Michelle Yeoh winning the Academy Award for Best Actress. Or do they call the prize “best actor in a female role even though we can no longer determine what a female is anymore award” now?
I didn’t watch the show and only know about Ms. Yeoh’s win thanks to Twitter, so I’m not sure.
Anyway, here’s what I found on Twitter about it all this morning, courtesy of the woke idiots at Entertainment Tonight:
Note ET’s claim that Ms. Yeoh, who has in fact been of Asian heritage all her 60+ years on this earth, now merely “identifies as Asian” according to today’s woke nomenclature.
It is key to note that ET is no outlier in using this claim about Ms. Yeoh. Here is the tweet by the woke nitwits at NPR on the same subject:
The new, un-woke clarifiers at Twitter noticed this bit of ass-hattery going on on their platform, and added in some context to try to explain why the media lunatics were degrading our language once again in such a ridiculous manner:
For those who may not remember Merle Oberon, she won the 1935 Oscar for what we then called “Best Actress” (because our grandparents and great-grandparents and every generation before them knew what a female really was) for a film called “The Dark Angel.” Cool.
