Monday's Magnificent Absurdities: Beto's Done as the Media Moves On to Pushing a New 2024 Conspiracy Theory
The most glorious news this Monday morning is that the political career of Irish Bob “Beto” O’Rourke, the fake Hispanic El Paso dilletante, is now for all intents and purposes over.
That is the only conclusion one can reach given today’s news that Irish Bob is such a horrible candidate that even the liberals who dominate the editorial board at the Dallas Morning News couldn’t dummy up a rationale for endorsing him:
Naturally, the DMN’s endorsement of incumbent Gov. Greg Abbott, a - gasp! - Republican, was half-hearted and only grudgingly awarded, but still, it is what it is. The board essentially reasoned that, though they would certainly love to follow their tradition of endorsing anyone with a D next to his or her name, they just couldn’t do it because they really have no idea how Irish Bob might govern if elected.
Thus, we see O’Rourke’s constant changing of position on any and every issue depending on the nature of whatever audience he is trying to fool at any given moment come back to bite him in the butt. You can fool some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but if you practice political deceit for too long, it will eventually come back to haunt you. Just ask Hillary Clinton.
