So much WINNING, Part I: ABC News forced to pay up for defamation of Donald Trump.
Over the weekend, ABC News agreed to settle a defamation case that was certain to go against it, ponying up a $16 million payment to Donald J. Trump for defamation of character.
At issue were multiple on-air statements by former Bill Clinton bag man George Stephanopoulos, who pretends to be a journalist as host of ABC This Week each Sunday morning, claiming a Manhattan jury had found Mr. Trump guilty of “rape” in the sham lawsuit brought by lunatic E. Jean Carroll. The trouble there, of course, was that the jury in the case not only did NOT make such a finding but went so far as to produce an affirmative finding of Trump’s innocence stemming from that claim.
