Oh, I’m totally stealing and saving this meme that I found on Twitter this morning:
Thanks so much to whomever created it. It’s perfect.
Speaking of the lying, corrupt, fake national news media, there’s apparently a shakeup coming to CNN, and it might - emphasis on “might” - be glorious.
Here’s an excerpt from that story at Axios:
Under new chief Chris Licht, CNN will dial down the prime-time partisanship and double down on the network's news-gathering muscle, top sources tell me.
Why it matters: Ratings are secondary to credibility, in the view of Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav, who's taking over CNN.
Jeff Zucker's successor at the CNN helm will be Licht — showrunner of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and a popular, pioneering producer who knows his way around America's top control rooms.
The selection of Licht, a regular at Zaslav summer parties in the Hamptons, was reported first by Puck News' Dylan Byers. Licht will be named next week.
Licht — CBS' EVP of Special Programming — succeeded with three very different programs: Colbert rose on his watch to become the most-watched network late-night show, with live shows for big news ... "CBS This Morning" got a ratings jolt when he was E.P. ... and he was co-creator and original E.P. of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe."
[End]
Ok, so, we’re supposed to believe that the radical leftist Licht, whose resume includes “Morning Joe,” “CBS This Morning,” and turning the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” into just another platform for far-left politics, is the guy who is going to take CNN back to the middle?
Pardon me while I laugh out loud…
Next, there’s this hysterically ironic sentence: “Ratings are secondary to credibility, in the view of Warner Bros.”
Well, given that at one point in January, CNN had lost 90% of its 2021 audience, that’s a very good thing, isn’t it? I mean, c’mon, who are you kidding here?
Jazz Shaw at Hotair.com has a semi-optimistic take on all of this, including a theory that Jeff Zucker sycophant and butt buddy Brian Stelter might well be one the chopping block, and we can all hope that’s true. But I wouldn’t go betting even a single acre of the farm on it just yet. It would be highly ill-advised to assume Chris Licht is going to do anything other than put another layer on the CNN pig.
This happened in New Zealand over the weekend:
Just a reminder that New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern is, like Canadian PM Justin Castro, er, “Trudeau,” a fascist zealot who is a disciple of the World Economic Forum’s plan for a “Great Reset.” For almost two solid years, she succeeded in turning a formerly semi-free country into a fascist/communist prison state.
The people of New Zealand now must wait to see if this evil human being will be willing to accept the court’s decision or choose to keep doubling down on evil. This is a real tipping point moment down under.
Meanwhile, over at CNBC, is Jim Cramer ever right about anything?
Apparently not.
Oh, hey, just 3 days before the State of the Union Address, the CDC does this:
Here’s the new “guidance” from the propaganda agents at the CDC:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday it is relaxing its mask guidance for communities where hospitals aren't under high strain. Under the new guidance, nearly 70% of the U.S. population lives in an area considered to be low or medium risk, and residents there are advised they can go indoors without masks.
The CDC recommends continued mask use in communities where serious cases of COVID-19 are straining the health system.
The move to ease up on masking, federal officials say, reflects current conditions at this phase of the coronavirus pandemic, including widespread immunity through vaccination and prior infection as well as better access to testing and treatments.
"We want to give people a break from things like mask-wearing," said CDC Director Rochelle Walensky at a news briefing Friday. But, she added, new risk guidelines that the agency is implementing will help people know when to reach for masks again if conditions warrant it.
Health officials emphasized that people should still wear face coverings if they wish or if they are personally at high risk. And regardless of local conditions, they should mask if they have COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
As part of the change, the CDC is dropping its recommendation for universal school masking and instead will recommend masking only in communities at a high level of risk.
[End]
Read this carefully, folks: It is highly-qualified, and leaves the door open for ramping the mask requirements - which everyone knows are completely ineffective and do great harm to our children and society - back up at a moment’s notice whenever it becomes politically expedient for the Biden administration again.
This is a purely political decision timed to give the Sock Puppet an applause line in the State of the Union speech.
Speaking of that speech, look who’s giving a rebuttal to it:
That’s right: Member of the radical leftist congressional “Squad” Rashida Tlaib is going to do a rebuttal to Biden’s SOTU speech this week, and even Bill Maher is pissed about it.
Here’s an excerpt from that story at Breitbart:
During a segment on his HBO Real Time show, Maher said he could not grasp why someone from the president’s own party would give a counter-address.
“Now, I’ve always seen the opposition party give a rebuttal. This is from the same party. This is like sacking your own quarterback,” Bill Maher said Friday. “I don’t know, maybe she’s gonna say some nice things about Joe, but basically it’s to present- … bad idea for the Democrats?”
Chloé Valdary, Theory of Enchantment founder, countered that Tlaib’s motivation might be to hold the “party’s feet to the fire” instead of putting up a “unified front.” Maher, however, did not buy it and noted Tlaib’s history of extremism as a “Squad” member.
“I remember she’s very us versus them,” Maher said. “I remember because she’s one of the Squad members. And I remember we talked about on this show one night BDS, which is the boycott that some people want to do against Israel, because Israel somehow got to be the Nazis.”
“And I said no- that BDS is a bunch of bullshit,” Maher continued. “And then Rashida Tlaib called for me to be boycotted, so was saying we shouldn’t boycott and then her answer was, ‘We’re gonna boycott you. … So when people say, ‘You know, ‘why are you so hard on the left these days? Bullshit like that is why. We have a different opinion about this issue called BDS and you want to just boycott me.”
[End]
We on the right just need to stay completely out of this one. Remember, you should never interfere when the enemy is devouring its own.
Hilarious.
That is all.
Why are they cranking up conservative hatred against Canada? Contemporary Canada is certainly nothing like the US conservative sites are describing. Fascist government?! Sounds like Putin's pre-invasion nonsense. The truckers, blocking roads, incessantly honking their horns would have annoyed mokes anywhere.
They act like ratings and credibility are separate entities. If a show is credible, it will bring high ratings.
