Monday's Memorial Day Absurdities: Drunk Driving, Stupid Tweeting and a Cancelled Pandemic

On this Memorial Day, please take a few moments to remember and honor those millions of Americans who have died during war times so that you would have the right to read this.

Obviously, the polling and focus-grouping conducted over the last few weeks by the Democrats and their fellow globalists/leftists around the world didn’t produce the results they wanted. So, the monkeypox pandemic is cancelled, and they will most likely now move back to focusing on their planned “summer of rage” once the Supreme Court decision reversing Roe v. Wade is issued.

There will always be a new crisis, but the monkeypox is apparently not going to be one of them. Cool.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband was arrested in California this weekend and charged with drunk driving.

Paul Pelosi, 82, was nabbed just before midnight in Napa County, California, and charged with one count of driving under the influence and another for driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher, according to a sheriff’s office online booking report.

The California Democrat’s husband was booked at around 4:13 a.m. Sunday and released a few hours later at 7:26 a.m., the online records show. Pelosi’s bail had been set at $5,000 on the two misdemeanors.

You can be certain these charges will be quietly dropped after law enforcement leaders in the Valley receive irate phone calls from Pelosi’s office threatening a cutoff of their federal money. It’s as predictable as the sun setting in the west.

Anthea Butler, who claims to be a professor of something or other at some university somewhere, tweeted out this bit of incredibly-inflammatory ignorance about the Uvalde school shootings over the weekend:

Mr. Arredondo is himself Hispanic. He has apparently been in hiding since the massacre, possibly because he is the person responsible for ordering local law enforcement officers to stand down for almost an hour as the killer was murdering children. The thought that he issued that order because the students being murdered were mostly also Hispanic is perhaps the single most reprehensibly stupid statement made by any living person thus far in 2022.

Can there be any doubt that “professor” Butler has tenure? Any doubt at all?
