Pray for the Queen

Just listened to an interview with Nigel Farage on Fox Business by Stuart Varney, and the situation with Queen Elizabeth’s health is seeming quite grave today.

I am the furthest thing from a British royalist, but the life of Queen Elizabeth II is too extraordinary to deny. Her service to her country since ascending to the throne 70 years ago and even before then is one of the most remarkable achievements in modern times. Her ability to put that service above other considerations and to maintain the dignity of her position despite all the family depravity and amid all the national and international crises her nation has faced in her lifetime has been more than fairly amazing.

As all four of her children gather around her at Balmoral Castle in Scotland today for the first time in many years, I think this is an appropriate time for us all to say a prayer for her health and her family.
