Saturday's Absurdities: The Parade of Democrat Absurdities is Endless
If you’re one of the Democrats who have been breathlessly anticipating that your party is gonna “turn Texas blue in 2022” (it’s a rhyme, get it?), a new poll from the highly-Democrat-slanted Texas Tribune will no doubt feel like taking a cold shower. Talking about bigtime shrivel here, folks.
Gov. Greg Abbott, who has found himself under withering assault from the Tribune and other Texas and national media for being one of the more successful governors in dealing with COVID (because the media hates success vs. COVID), is well ahead of Irish Bob O’Rourke (46%-37%), the likely Dem nominee in the governor’s race. Actor Matthew McConaughey - the pure fantasy candidate who won’t be running - also does not fare well in this poll, receiving just a 35% favorable rating from the poll’s respondents.
Equally bad for the already sad O’Rourke fanboys and fangirls who staff the Tribune and actively campaigned for their beloved Beto during his 2018 challenge against Sen. Ted Cruz, the Dem nominee will also be hampered by the plummeting approval ratings in the state for the demented Sock Puppet in the White House. The poll’s respondents gave China Joe just a 35% approval rating vs. 55% disapproval. Yikes.
Thus, instead of turning Texas blue in 2022, the real outlook for the Dems from this poll is that their butts will be sore as they head for 2024.

In somewhat better news for the Ds, they did finally, at long last manage to pass their $1.2 trillion fake “infrastructure” bill in the House late Friday, albeit with the help of 13 RINOs. The vote came following a day of pure chaos among the varying factions of the House Democrat caucus, as Speaker Pelosi struggled to bribe, cajole and bully moderates and woke lunatics to come together and get the thing done.
Here’s an excerpt from a story at the Democrat Party propaganda megaphone Politico:
“The whole day was a clusterf*ck, right?” said senior progressive Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.), who helped negotiate the rapprochement with the moderates. “At the end of the day what we all want to do is get the president’s agenda done, and that’s what we’re going to do.”
In the end, Pelosi only lost six Democrats on the infrastructure vote, all progressives. Thirteen Republicans voted in favor, giving Democrats more wiggle room on the floor.
Pelosi also forced her caucus to approve a vote on a rule to govern the debate and vote next week on the fake reconciliation bill, which is really just a massive expansion of the social welfare state along with $600 billion in graft and subsidies for the destructive “Green New Deal.” That latter element of the reconciliation bill adds to several hundred billion in green subsidies contained in the infrastructure legislation.
The debate and vote on reconciliation will be held once that atrocity receives a score from the CBO.
Here’s another excerpt:
The successful vote followed hours of painstaking negotiation between moderates and progressives that yielded a statement from caucus centrists committing to the party-line social safety net bill, if cost estimates met their projections. But the caveat in that centrist statement underscored the fragility of the underlying accord — House moderates are now staking their votes on an independent budget analysis that may take weeks to produce.
While the House only took a procedural vote Friday on their progressive package of health care, child care and environmental investments, Biden and other Democratic leaders publicly promised the chamber would vote on the bill before Thanksgiving. The social spending legislation will then go to the Senate, where it will almost certainly be tweaked and then sent back to the House for another vote.
While the media will celebrate last night’s votes as a major “victory” for San Fran Nan and praise her skill in navigating the legislative process, that is nonsense. These votes came only following 3 months of abject failure to hold her own caucus together and the missing of deadline after deadline publicly set by Pelosi to force these votes to get done. It also came far too late to help Terry McAuliffe and other Dems in Virginia and around the country in Tuesday’s elections, far too late to prevent the Sock Puppet’s public approval rating to drop like a rock into the mid-30s.'
Adding to Pelosi’s abject failure is the fact that the reconciliation bill on which she and her fellow Dems will now be awaiting a score from the CBO is destined for disaster in the senate. Pelosi was forced by the woke nitwit segment of her caucus to add provisions back into the bill that will ensure “no” votes from Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, and which are likely to force the CBO and Senate parliamentarian to rule that the atrocity of a bill doesn’t qualify under the rules of reconciliation in any event.
So unless the woke nitwits decide to give up the ghost on major parts of their destructive, idiotic agenda in the coming days, the reconciliation bill, the main vehicle for the preponderance of the Biden communist agenda, will die an ignominious death next week.
That’s an ultimate fate that could not happen to a more detestable bunch of people.

Some quick takes from Twitter
Liberal heads are exploding this morning after seeing this from Packers QB Aaron Rodgers:
Fox’s Peter Doocy again provides the mike-drop moment at Friday’s White House briefing as his worthless slug colleagues sit around panting and hoping for a scratch behind their lapdog ears:
Literally insane washed-up actress Alyssa Milano provides a moment of unintentional hilarity with yet another “ooops - that wasn’t the result I wanted” Twitter poll:
That is epic. My goodness.
Speaking of Biden’s vaccine mandates, even some Democrat governors hate it:
The leftists at Pew Research Center lurch back to 1946 with an incredibly racist poll:
I mean, seriously, it’s the 21st century you dimwits. Nobody outside of the media and leadership of the Democrat party cares about this stuff anymore. Geez.
Once again, if Democrats didn’t already exist, you could never make them up in a million billion gazillion years. And why on earth would anyone even want to?
That is all.
