“In a world of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” - George Orwell, 1984
Talking points monkeys are destroying our society. That’s a simple fact. It’s real, and it happens every day.
It happened Friday when the chief talking points monkey at the White House, Jen “Chuckie” Psaki, was asked if her boss, the Sock Puppet, now regretted his support for Jussie Smollett, as expressed in this tweet shortly after Smollett made his hoax allegations to Chicago Police:
Of course, Biden doesn’t even remember that tweet, and is certainly unaware that it was ever issued in his name. That tweet, you see, was written by his staff of talking points monkeys and posted by his staff of Twitter monkeys. Biden is not capable of putting that many sentences together, as we see beyond all doubt every time he tries and fails to read a 5-minute script from his ever-present Teleprompter.
But does the Sock Puppet’s staff of evil handlers now regret that tweet? Sure, you bet they do, but only because it is causing their guy’s public approval rating to drop even further into the political abyss.
But never fear: Psaki, the boss of all of Biden’s talking points monkeys, had a talking point readily available to read from her handy notebook of talking points. Here is what that particular talking point said:
“There are lessons learned, perhaps for everybody … including former president Trump.”
Here’s what everyone needs to understand about that talking point and how it was produced: It was a committee effort. In the White House, probably a dozen people or more can be found as having contributed to that ridiculous talking point, through a process of conceptualization, drafting, wordsmithing, vetting up the chain of command, revision, re-vetting, and final approval.
All of that and probably much more went on behind the scenes to prep that specific talking point for recitation by Psaki at Friday’s presser, and they best they can come up with was that it was all somehow the fault of the evil Trump. Which is utterly absurd.
Unlike Biden and Kamala Harris, who both knee-jerked to assuming ol’ Jussie was telling the truth so they could take political advantage and never corrected their mistake, Trump’s initial reaction to Smollett’s allegations and follow-up once it became crystal clear it was all a hoax display a rare politician who was doing his best to react honestly to the facts as they presented themselves.
Here’s how he responded according to PJ Media:
While it is true that Trump’s immediate reaction to the Smollett case as it was initially reported in January 2019, before it became clear that the whole thing was a hoax, was, “I think that’s horrible. It doesn’t get worse as far as I’m concerned.” However, once it was clear that Smollett was lying, Trump was unequivocal. When Smollett was arrested in February 2019, Trump tweeted: “What about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and dangerous comments?” He declared in March 2019, “I think the case in Chicago is an absolute embarrassment to our country and I have asked that it be — that they look at it. Somebody has to at least take a very good hard look.”
Understand that Biden’s handlers have never once made any effort to retract their initial tweet, which remains active on Biden’s account this morning. The same is true of Kamala Harris.
But why? Why not just take this moment as an opportunity to do something different? You know, like tell the truth about one thing. After all, you were wrong. Period. It was all an obvious hoax from the very beginning, and a jury of Smollett’s peers has now convicted him of a crime. Several crimes, in fact.
Psaki says there are lessons to be learned here: Isn’t that lesson that Biden’s talking points monkeys were wrong in 2019?
Why not just say something like, “Mr. Biden was wrong to believe Jussie Smollett, who has been shown to be an ultimate, unabashed liar who actions were felonious in nature. Mr. Biden now regrets that initial tweet and it will be removed from his account.”
How hard is that? In all seriousness, why not just tell the truth?
Talking points monkeys are killing our society with crap like this, spreading lies and half-truths and deflections and resorting to every other Clintonian trick they can think of to avoid having their clients utter the truth about anything in public. The White House certainly has no monopoly on this - almost every politician in Washington in both parties does it to some extent. Republicans tend to do it less frequently than Democrats, but it is a difference in volume and severity rather than a matter of general philosophy.
Much of the problem on the Republican side is that they mainly use the very same communications firms to advise them that advise the Democrats. Democrats can get away with rank dishonesty like this and no one in the media ever questions them on it. But Republicans can’t, and are always going to be subjected to interruptions and hostile follow-up questions anytime they are seen to be obfuscating or deflecting or trying to get away with a clever half-truth penned for them by their own committee of talking points monkeys.
And it’s not limited to politicians. We see the same thing happening with corporate CEOs. You want to know why Elon Musk is so entertaining and refreshing and widely admired while Jeff Bezos is almost universally detested among the general public? Because Musk usually - not always, but usually - says exactly what is on his mind. He speaks honestly, putting his own thoughts into his own words.
Bezos, on the other hand, speaks only in carefully scripted talking points. He seldom answers any question directly, always deflecting and obfuscating. Same thing with Mark Zuckerberg, who does it to the point that he truly does seem more a robot than a human being when speaking in public.
You can like Elon Musk or not like him - I feel very strongly both ways, personally - but the man is honest. He is true to himself.
The same principle applies to the news media. You know why so many people are turning off TV news and turning on Joe Rogan and other podcasts as alternative means of consuming information? Because Joe Rogan doesn’t do talking points. He doesn’t read scripts, and he doesn’t tolerate guests who come on his show and try to obfuscate and recite talking points to avoid directly answering his questions. A great recent example was his interview with CNN’s fake Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who Rogan savaged and embarrassed for 3 solid hours.
Rogan is no conservative ideologue, but it is no accident at all that conservative commentators are eager to do his show while the lefties avoid him like the plague. Trump would do fine with Rogan; Biden or Harris - or Mike Pence, for that matter - wouldn’t last 2 minutes.
But back to the initial question: Why couldn’t Jen Psaki just give an honest answer to that simple question?
Because she’s a talking points monkey, and giving a straight and honest answer is a foreign concept to her and the people around her. And people just like Psaki are advising 100% of Democrat politicians, 90% of GOP politicians and a majority of corporate CEOs in our country. They are a pernicious influence on our entire society.
That’s the truth, coming from a person who used to actually do the work that they’re doing.
That is all.
.
Why can't the democrats speak truthfully?? Because it would destory the illusion they are intelligent and know what they are doing is best for us peons. That they care about the American people, a strong military and economy. That the BBB will not eccelerate inflation and the climate agenda will save the planet. The fact is Democrats really are a collection of Godless misfits and cretins who would rather kill a baby in the womb then admit there is a God in Heaven because if they did they would have to acknowledge the true evil that lurks in their black hearts. What we are witnessing today from the left is satanic. Every single thing.
Joe Biden doesn't have the brains God gave a pissant.
