This whole week was absurd, ok? That reality had been baked into the cake for more than a year now - the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies were bound and determined to ensure it with the idiotic, anti-American focus on pretending the Capitol Riot on Jan. 6, 2020 was somehow a violent, armed insurrection. That utterly despicable fiction dominated the week, and thus, there was no escaping the flood of absurdity that inevitably came with it.
But I’m done writing about that bit of nonsense, and will focus instead on the three living absurdities currently serving as “justices” on the supreme court: Obama appointees Elena Kagan and Sonya Sotomayor, and Clinton appointee Stephen Breyer.
This particular parade of absurdities came with Friday’s Supreme Court hearing on the constitutionality of Joe Biden’s clearly unconstitutional effort to have OSHA force employers to fire un-vaccinated workers. The overturning of this ridiculous bit of regulatory overreach should be an elementary matter of course, a 9-0 decision that leaves no doubt whatsoever for its proponents to exploit. But during the course of that hearing, we witnessed these sitting leftist justices on the court spew a series of utterly false claims designed to signal their support for the mandate and to blatantly try to influence public opinion on the matter.
These are not justices: They are radical leftist activists.
From a story at TheFederalist, here are a few of the false claims put on the public record by justices Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan:
Justice Elena Kagan suggested that getting the vaccine reduces the spread of COVID-19, a dubious claim that’s contested by the rapidly rising number of breakthrough cases worldwide. Kagan’s opinion is that “this is the policy that is most geared to stopping all this.”
“There’s nothing else that will perform that function better than incentivizing people strongly to vaccinate themselves. So, you know, whatever necessary means, whatever grave means, why isn’t this necessary and grave?” Kagan said.
Kagan’s specious claim was echoed by Justice Stephen Breyer, because of course it was. Breyer went so far as to hilariously speculate that enforcing the OSHA regime would literally prevent all new cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. Holy crap.
Of course, Breyer is the guy who prefaced one of his questions to the lawyers by claiming that “750 million” people are infected by COVID-19 every day. First, there are only 330 million people living in the United States. Second, if he meant that as a global number, then simple math shows that would mean that every person on earth is infected with the passage of every 10 days time. Again, holy crap.
Sotomayor, the rankest buffoon of the rank leftist buffoons, then chimed in by saying that “Catching COVID keeps people out of the workplace for extraordinary periods of time.” When did 5 to 10 days become an extraordinary period of time? It’s absurd.
She then falsely claimed that the numbers show that Omicron is every bit as deadly as the Delta Variant. Ridiculous. The numbers show exactly, precisely the opposite. It’s complete fiction. The numbers also show that Delta is no more deadly than the seasonal flu. So, why has OSHA never tried to enforce a flu vaccine mandate on employers?
Obama’s “wise latina” appointee then went onto spew the lie that “100,000 children” are currently in ICU wards on ventilators with Omicron. This is just unimaginably ignorant of reality. The official pediactric case count for all current COVID cases among children under the age of 18 is just 3,342. That number includes ALL such cases, the overwhelming majority of which do not require hospitalization, much less being put on a ventilator.
The delusional Sotomayor then joined Breyer in the specious claim that “hospitals are almost all at full capacity,” an absurd fiction that has zero basis in reality, but which has been encouraged by hospitals across the country for the purpose of seeking more and more federal funding.
As Phil Kerpin pointed out in a tweet, the national hospital capacity census is stubbornly flat, and has been for almost 2 years now:
Breyer: "Hospitals are full almost to the point of the maximum." These people know absolutely nothing. Zero.Kerpin says “these people know absolutely nothing. Zero.”
Sadly for all of us, he’s absolutely right.
Breyer, Kagan and Sotomayor represent perfectly the mentally deficient profiles of the standard appointees to the Supreme Court made by Democrat presidents Clinton and Obama. They are not merely abject ignoramuses: They are actively, intentionally so. Because they are not real “justices” at all, but political activists.
Try to imagine the low mental wattage and sense of duty to the Constitution that will be possessed by the nominees of a barely-functional Sock Puppet.
It’s too frightening for words.
That is all.
Worst part is the Rino Republican senators allowed them to be seated when republicans held the majority
They really are... THAT STUPID!
