Elon Musk’s Twitter feed is one of the must-follows on that platform. I’m not a big proponent of electric vehicles, but there is no denying that Musk has been and remains miles ahead of his competition in that space, mainly because he’s been a visionary leader who plays chess while the competition is playing checkers. He’s thinking years or decades ahead.
Yes, he built his company by feeding off the government teat; but he was in the federal rent-seeking business 15 years before his peers at GM and Ford and Toyota latched onto that idea. Hell, 15 years ago, he could hardly have been described as a peer to those giant corporate CEOs. Today, he’s the wealthiest individual on the planet.
Musk has also brought his visionary tendencies to bear in his SpaceX operation. Has there been any more amazing sight in recent years than watching his un-manned booster rockets - which NASA simply had spill into the Atlantic ocean - land themselves onto the deck of an un-manned drone ship in the Gulf of Mexico? Five years ago, I laughed at Musk’s notion of having men on Mars by 2030. Today, I expect he will achieve that goal years early. Because that is how he rolls.
Musk has never been what anyone would call a “conservative” politically: In fact, he’s been smart enough to stay away from politics for the most part. But of late, he has begun to display some “conservative” tendencies, which today equate to being opposed to or critical of the prevailing leftist establishment.
Mainly, he’s been critical of the woke cancel culture that fully infests and dominates our legacy news media, as well as Twitter and the other big social media platforms. This week, Musk tweeted this bit of wisdom:
Truer words were never spoken, and it’s no accident that Musk’s statement echoes similar statements made through history by the likes of Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and Ronald Reagan.
Musk’s statement was no doubt targeted at today’s new leftist religion, which centers around COVID mask/vax/school closing mandates. Rabid, unthinking support for these authoritarian government actions is literally a religious cult on the political left, one that is doing great harm to our society.
The same logic has animated the leftist religion that centers around climate change, a religious cult that has been around for 30 years now, and long ago became the major driver of socialism/communism throughout the world.
After Musk tweeted the statement pictured above, he had this interesting exchange with conservative pundit and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza:
Yeah, it’s just two words, but Musk has a long history of turning what others think are merely “interesting ideas” into major business ventures. This is the wealthiest man on earth, a guy with a quarter of a trillion dollars at his personal disposal, a guy who has repeatedly expressed his disdain for woke culture and the social media/legacy media platforms that push it in our society.
15 years ago, Tesla started out as an interesting idea. No one thought SpaceX was anything more than another interesting idea just a decade ago.
What fun it would be to see Elon Musk acquire, say, CNN and convert it back into a real news channel again. Or, to see him buy out CBS and watch him destroy the ratings of ABC News and NBC News within a span of a few months. Or to see him finance a startup social media platform that could really compete with Twitter and Facebook for a mass audience.
Interesting ideas, indeed. Think about it.
That is all.
Musk built a company whose function is to manufacture chips for human brain implanting -"Neuralink". This is how Schwab promised us - "you will have nothing and be happy".
Said it about a year ago, Musk will be Trump's successor and will surpass The Donald as "the greatest president since Washington".
