Saturday's Salacious Absurdities: The Real White Privilege in America

You know what the real “white privilege” in America is? It’s that we don’t have to sit at a dinner and laugh politely and pretend not to be incredibly offended when some transparently bigoted old geezer says something like this to us:

“And, uh, you know, uh, Jill and I are honored to have you here, and represented, including many members of the African diaspora. One just left…Barack. [stunned silence from the crowd, then slowly polite laughter] You been very graci…you met, muh, muh, President this morning, uh, he, muh, just here little while ago.”

You know what that 2 seconds of stunned silence was? It was every person in that room thinking, ‘man, if Donald Trump said that to us, we’d jump him and beat him to a pulp. But this is a Democrat, so we’re supposed to pretend it’s sort of funny.’
