Sunday Status Report: Zelenskyy's Puppet Masters Balk at Ukraine Peace Deal and Trump's Plans for DC
Everyone should get ready for some real drama to take place this coming week related to the Ukraine situation. I say that because the true impediments to reaching a settlement there are becoming crystal clear, and they are are exactly who you figured they would be.
As of Sunday morning, the lines are pretty clearly drawn now:
On the side of reaching a settlement and ending all the carnage is President Donald Trump.
In the middle there’s Vladimir Putin, focused on getting to a deal that meets his stated goals since the start of the war, and frankly, since long before then. He’ll do a deal, but only on his preferred terms.
On the side of keeping the hopeless stalemate NATO proxy war going - paid for mainly out of the U.S. federal budget - are Volodymyr Zelenskyy, backed by European warmongers like Keir Starmer, Ursula Von Der Leyen, and Emmanuel Macron.
And, of course, we can be certain the Euro warmongers are in communication with their U.S. counterparts with names like Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal.
