The Biden administration’s time in office thus far has been one of the most frightening presidencies in American history. All of the institutions that made our country great are under assault, the economy is in a shambles, retirement funds shrink every day, the sanctity of our elections are no longer worthy of trust and everyone understands in their heart of hearts that the guy supposedly leading the country is in fact a functional invalid.
Perhaps the most frightening story of all, though, came this week in the form of yet another deployment of the FBI as the American Gestapo, the armed enforcement arm of the American radical left. This time, Attorney General Burkhalter, er, Merrick Garland and FBI Director Klink, er, Wray ordered a small army of 25-30 FBI agents to storm the home of a Catholic speaker [not a priest, as I had incorrectly stated originally in this piece] and anti-abortion activist in Pennsylvania. Naturally, the raid took place in the wee hours of the morning, and came after no effort by the jackbooted thugs to take the Priest into custody in a peaceful manner, which they certainly could have done had they so desired.
It turns out the activist, Mark Houck, performs sidewalk counseling at a couple of abortion clinics as part of his activities. During one of his sessions, he had some sort of altercation with an aggressive pro-abortion activist who had spent the previous weeks regularly assaulting Houck’s 12 year-old son. The local authorities refused to press charges when the man complained to them, so he filed a civil suit which was promptly tossed out of court early in the summer.
