Sunday's Silly Absurdities: Phelan, Texas House Members Lash Out at Dan Patrick for...Taking Notes?

So, I get up this morning, turn on my TV to the local DFW news, and the first report I see after the weather is one detailing complaints from some Texas GOP house managers. They, including speaker Dade Phelan, the guy whose drunken display while trying to chair a full house session sparked this entire impeachment fiasco, are alleging that Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick pre-ordained yesterday’s acquittal of Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Please, don’t waste your time trying to convince me he wasn’t 3 sheets to the wind there. I know a drunk when I see one.

Following that disgrace, Paxton sent a public letter to Phelan noting his humiliation of himself and his office and urged him to resign. A couple days later, Phelan was leading an impeachment hearing targeting Paxton.
