Down but not out: Sheila Jackson Lee, the worst congressional member in Texas history, failed to rig her mayoral vote counting in Houston Saturday, losing her runoff against Texas state senator John Whitmire.

Turns out it’s a lot harder for a Democrat to rig a race against a fellow Dem in Texas’s biggest city, as Ms. Lee was demolished in a mega-landslide. As the counting stands early Sunday morning, Lee trails Whitmire by a 64.5% to 35.5% margin.
