Super Saturday Absurdities: Hold Onto the Damn Hand Rails, Mr. Nominal President

I like Tim Scott, even though he’s put himself firmly on the RINO path in the Senate. But he seems like a nice guy, he’s good on television, and he provides a very nice contrast to all the pasty-white old dudes who make up most of the rest of the GOP Senate caucus.

Sen. Scott has been a fine Senator from South Carolina, certainly preferable to the execrable McCain toady who has long held the state’s other seat. Frankly, I hope Scott serves in the Senate for a long, long time, where he has been fairly effective, certainly moreso than most of his GOP colleagues there.

What I don’t want Tim Scott to be, though, is president, where he would simply become another George H.W. Bush-type figure, a captive of the Pentagon/Deep State interests who would do little to change the sad, destructive direction in which the country has been moving.
