If you care about your family, you should ignore Anthony Fauci during this Christmas season. The same is true if you care about your country: If you do, you should ignore everything the Little Menace to Society has to say.
Whether you are vaccinated or not, you should ignore Fauci’s advice about enjoying Christmas gatherings with your family and friends. You should extend that to New Year’s gatherings as well. The unarguable fact of the matter is that most people coming down with this Omicron variant - which now accounts for more than 70% of all new COVID cases - have been fully vaccinated. That’s true even though the fully vaccinated account for only roughly 1/2 of our population.
It doesn’t matter if you wear masks or not, so leave them in the drawer you’ve kept them in for the past 20 months. MSNBC’s own favorite viral expert, the execrable Dr. Leana Wen, told her audience that masks are just useless “face decorations” earlier this week. Yeah, it was probably an unintentional slip on her part, but she said the quiet part out loud and she’s right: That’s all the masks have ever been as they relate to this virus. There has never been any data that shows a cause-and-effect relationship between masks and the rates of COVID infection. None whatsoever. If you want to decorate your face, feel free, but if you’re going to lecture others about not wearing one, then you’re the one who is wrong and you need to keep your opinions to yourself.
Fauci’s advice to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people is hilariously irrelevant, advice given by an authoritarian brute designed to do nothing more than maintain a level of fear in our population because his fellow Democrat brutes believe it will make us more manageable. If you are literally counting heads coming to Christmas dinner and decide to stay home because you’d make #11, then you are the problem in our country, not the other 10.
Fauci’s advisory this week to avoid large gatherings of 40 or more because they risk being super spreaders is even more absurd. It flies in the face of the reality that we have been holding thousands of football games every weekend in this country since August, often with crowds surpassing 100,000, and have seen zero evidence that any of them resulted in a superspreading event. He’s full of horse manure on this subject, just as he is about everything else.
But, but, but what if you get COVID, you ask? What if you do? For all these fake “scientists” know, you are as likely to catch the virus while cowering alone in your living room in front of your Dr. Who or Hawaii 5-0 reruns as you are sitting at a dinner table with 12 of your unvaccinated relatives. Hell, you may be more likely to do so given Omicron’s apparent aversion to those who have not taken any of the vaccines.
If you have co-morbidities, if you are obese, in bad health generally, have respiratory issues, or if you are very elderly, then you do have cause to worry and you should take whatever precautions you deem best to protect yourselves. Because even the cold-like symptoms Omicron produces can be really problematic for you. Of course, that has always been true of the common cold or the flu or strep or any number of other winter-time diseases that have long plagued our population and you’ve never stayed home cowering in fear wearing two masks on Christmas to avoid any of those.
Think about it.
The fact of the matter is that if you are a reasonably healthy person under the age of 75 or so, the chances of you dying from any of the COVID strains has always been a tiny fraction of 1%. With Omicron, it is even tinier than that, approaching non-existence. Most people who contract this current viral variant fad don’t even display symptoms at all.
The fact of the matter is that the pandemic emergency related to COVID-19 expired early in 2021 with the advent of the various vaccines and a growing array of therapeutic treatments. All of these mandates, vaccine passports, shutdowns, mask mandates and other authoritarian measures still being taken by Democrat governors and the Biden Administration are pure exercises of political power that have literally nothing to do with public health. When you have leftwing governors like Jared Polis in Colorado and Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan showing reluctance about continuing the farce, you know it has all gone on for far too long.
All of which is why the best thing you can do, if you care about your family, or you care about this country and its ultimate survival as a free nation, is to ignore everything the Little Menace to Society Anthony Fauci has to say.
Live your lives. Be free. Be with your families and others you love and who love you, because life gives us no better therapy than that.
Merry Christmas, and God Bless You, Every One!
That is all.
As usual, well stated. Merry Christmas, David!
I find it best to ignore Tony all year long. Not just at holidays.
