The Campaign Update: Another Unqualified Radical Assumes Position on the Supreme Court

Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on a 53-47 vote Thursday, and now, for the first time ever, old white males like me do not make up a majority of the members on the U.S. Supreme Court. We now have four women, one Black male, and four old white guys on the Court.

Cool.

While Democrats and their agents in the media do nothing but obsess over the racial/sexual makeup of the nation’s highest court, no thinking American should care about it even a little bit. What we should care about is whether or not the court is made up of Americans who care deeply about the Constitution, possess a deep and abiding understanding of it, and are committed to applying its original intent to every case that arrives on the court’s docket.

Nothing else matters. I don’t care if a president nominates a spotted porcupine to hold a seat on the court, so long as that spotted porcupine is capable of and willing to adhere to those principles. Because those principles are vital to the ongoing maintenance of our constitutional republican form of government.

Ms. Jackson clearly does not adhere to those principles and her nomination should have been rejected by the Senate. This is a person who says she ‘has no view’ on whether or not we possess natural rights as human beings. She is a person who admits she lacks the mental acuity to identify what a woman even is. She is a person who has consistently supported a right to unfettered abortions even through birth, a right that exists nowhere in the Constitution, not even in the ‘emanations and penumbras’ of the 14th amendment.

She is clearly unqualified to sit on the court, yet she will sit on the court along with two other clearly unqualified radical left justices who never should have been nominated to do so.

Because that is the nature of today’s Democrat party and its absolute obsession with identity politics. It is why the Democrat party, not China, not Russia, not Islamic terrorism or COVID or any other threat, stands as the clearest and most present danger to the survival of the American Republic.
