Well, you have to give ChinaJihad Joe Biden, our Sock Puppet-in-Chief, a little credit: He has finally found a way to unite America on an issue. A new poll out this morning from the Associated Press shows that the vast majority of Americans now don’t think the Afghanistan war was worth fighting.
Oh. You don’t say.
The unique aspect of this poll as compared to pretty much every other poll taken in recent years is that significant majorities of both Republicans - 57% - and Democrats - 67% - agree on that question. Honestly, given the utter chaos the Sock Puppet’s catastrophic mishandling of the U.S. “withdrawal” from that armpit of a country has created, it’s a real mystery what those who don’t agree are thinking.
As we sit here this morning, this 20 year war failed to achieve a single one of its objectives. Oh, we killed Bin Laden and a bunch of other Al Qaeda thugs, and that’s great. But did we destroy Al Qaeda? Not really, and we created a successor terrorist group - ISIS - in Syria and Iraq that was worse and more powerful. Obama - helped along by John McCain and Lindsey Graham - armed and equipped that particular group of terrorists under the pretense that they were the “good rebels” in the civil war in Syria as the U.S. government illegally intervened in that civil war to try to force out one despot and replace him with another, more friendly despot.
Genius planning there.
The U.S. tried for 20 years - well, really for about 5 years - to eliminate the Taliban, but found doing so too costly in terms of human lives and money. As other world powers going all the way back to Alexander the Great discovered, the Afghanis are too adept at hiding in caves for any army to ever root them out and kill them, no matter what kind of high-tech artillery you try to deploy against them.
Once he figured out the war was unwinnable, George W. Bush and his gang of neo-cons decided to just pull back and try to train up the Afghan army to a level at which it could at least prevent Taliban savages from overrunning the country’s population centers in Kabul, Kandahar and several other semi-civilized parts of the country. As we’ve seen this past week, that ultimately didn’t work, either.
So, which part of this longest war in U.S. history was worth fighting in the minds of those who answered “yes” to this poll? The nation-building part? Every government the Afghanis “elected” over the past 20 years has been utterly corrupt and cowardly. Hamid Karzi, the first thug the U.S. installed into the presidency (sounds a lot like Biden, huh?) looted hundreds of millions from his destitute country before getting run off. He was seen this week in Kabul, meeting with the Taliban, trying to find a new role for himself. Great guy right there. Good job, W!
The armpit country’s most recent “president,” who fled the country as soon as the going got tough, was accused this week of taking $174 million in stolen money with him.
Oh.
So again, exactly which part of this 20-year fiasco was worth it? Yeah, hindsight is easy, but in hindsight, exactly what part of it can be labeled as a “success”?
You got me.
But hey, nobody ever said the U.S. public was rational. Our broken education system and all-propaganda-all-the-time media pretty much ensure it will never be.
So, congratulations, ChinaJihad Joe: You really have found one way to truly unite America.

In other polling news, 55% of those surveyed in a new Rasmussen poll correctly say that Kamala Harris lacks the qualifications to serve as president when ChinaJihad Joe is finally forced out of office, an event that cannot be far off from happening at this point.
From the story at DailyWire:
“Only 43% of Likely U.S. Voters think Harris is qualified to assume the duties of the presidency, including 29% who think she is Very Qualified. That’s down from April, when 49% said Harris was qualified to become president. Now, 55% say Harris is not qualified to assume the duties of the presidency, including 47% who say she is Not At All Qualified,” Rasmussen wrote.
The Sock Puppet has already lasted longer than I had assumed he would, mainly due to the reality that Harris has been so god-awful as Veep that she has Democrat leaders gun shy about pulling the 25th amendment trigger. So this poll is not at all surprising, and the most disturbing aspect of it is how utterly deluded the 29% who think this scheming nitwit is “very qualified” must be.

On Monday I featured the CNN fake reporter Clarissa Ward, who looked into the camera with Taliban jihadis in the background and told the fake news channel’s braindead viewers that they seem “friendly” even as they were waving guns and chanting “death to America.”
That bit of mindlessness naturally resulted in Ward being ridiculed all over social media and by competing fake news organizations, which now has CNN-allied fake news outlets like The Hill pushing back and trying to rehabilitate her reputation. In an unintentionally hilarious report today, fellow fake reporters Dominick Mastrangelo and Brett Samuels profile Ms. Ward as if she is the second coming of Edward R. Murrow. She isn’t, but damned if they aren’t giving it the old fake college try.
Check out this excerpt:
CNN’s Clarissa Ward and her reporting has stood out from the pack amid the chaos in Afghanistan.
Ward, 41, has roamed the streets with her crew for days covering the U.S. withdrawal of troops and the Taliban’s lightning-speed takeover of the country.
Her dispatches from Kabul have shed light on the chaotic nature of the U.S. pullout, the tense mood as the Taliban retakes power and the plight of the scores of Afghan civilians looking for a way out of the country.
[end]
Yes, her reporting “stood out” from the pack because it has been so mindlessly brain-dead and despicably dishonest.
The Taliban are not “friendly” or “welcoming,” as Ward has described them. They are brutal 6th-century savages who would gladly dismember Ward if they thought they could get away with doing it. That would be after they first gang-raped her. That’s who the Taliban really are, and that is what they will be doing to thousands of Afghani women now that Ward’s hero the Sock Puppet has allowed them to have full control of the country.
You don’t have to take my word for this - just take a look at the following clips that neither Ms. Ward or her Democrat agent bosses at CNN would ever dream of putting on air:
So please, The Hill, spare us all the flowery words about Clarissa Ward. Thanks.
That is all.
As for Ms Ward, she found out yesterday that just because she's CN doesn't mean she better cover her face. There's video of her being assaulted by a Taliban foot soldier for not having her face covered. She's damn lucky he didn't kill her on the spot. And he most likely would have save for her CNN creds.
