The Campaign Update: Biden is Becoming Electoral Kryptonite to Fellow Dems

Joe Biden is Kryptonite for Democrats now, as runaway inflation destroys the standard of living for millions of their constituents. Those constituents are increasingly aware that Biden’s own policies are the main cause of that inflation, and have stopped falling for the “Putin’s price hike” lies coming out of the White House and Biden’s own mushy mouth.

“Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has driven up gas prices and food prices all over the world,” Biden read from his TelePrompter in Iowa on Tuesday in a desperate effort to shift blame. “So everything is going up. We saw it in today’s inflation data.”

Yes, yes we did see the nominal 8.5% official rate of inflation released by the administration, and know it is a small fraction of the price hikes we see happening daily at the local grocer store. We also saw the less-publicized Producer Price Index leap into all-time record territory as it hit a frightful 11.2%, with a 2.3% rise during March alone. Multiply 2.3% by 12 and, well, we don’t really want to be there.

And here’s the deal, you old weirdo: We know Putin didn’t cause it.

All of this is now leading some Democrats on Biden’s right and on his left to start turning on their own Sock Puppet, and it is glorious.
