The Campaign Update: Granholm Gives the Radical Game Away

An interview Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm conducted on CNN on Wednesday isn’t getting the attention it deserves. Appearing on CNN’s New Day program with host John Berman, Granholm proved one more time that we make a serious mistake when we let her and other high officials in the Biden administration off the hook by writing off the chaos they are promoting in the energy space as being the acts of people who are merely stupid.

Granholm is in fact actively malicious towards the energy sector in general and the oil and gas sector specifically.

I’m going to include a clip from the interview below, but for context, this exchange occurred took place prior to it:

Berman: And I just want to be crystal clear about this, it’s possible, you’re saying, that he would support a surtax on excess profits from oil companies?

Granhom: I’m just saying that no tool has been taken off the table and he wants to hear from the refineries, the companies who are doing refining, to see what is the bottleneck and how we can increase supply. And he’s also asking, of course, for the oil and gas industry to increase supply as well by drilling more. They are about 100 rigs shy of what they were before Covid. They need to increase supply.

Now, think about what she just said here: Joe Biden wants the oil industry to drill for more oil. She even says he wants the companies to activate more drilling rigs.

Talk about an about face.
