The Campaign Update: How Low Will They Go?
Biden set to cave a little to Manchin, but what about Sinema?
The illegitimate China Sock Puppet in the White House acknowledged to a group of Democrat members of congress Tuesday that his holdout for $3.5 trillion as the top-level number for his Mother of All Budget Buster bills is over, telling them that that number “will be lower.” How much lower is now the only open question, and Joe Manchin appears to hold most of the leverage there.
Biden told the Democrats on his video call that he expects the final to come in at around $1.9 to $2.3 trillion. For his part, Manchin is reported to have said he might be willing to come up into a range of $1.8 to $2.2 trillion. So, the Sock Puppet might well have been attempting to recite Manchin’s numbers but, as usual, gotten them wrong.
Manchin has spent the last month telling anyone who would listen that he thinks $1.5 trillion is the number he could stomach, so any compromise on his part is essentially caving in to the leftist radicals and Schumer. But, as I’ve repeatedly advised, Manchin was going to cave at some point here - it was inevitable. Manchin remains a limp-wristed liberal at heart, but he still wants to be able to get re-elected next go-round by the very Red voters of West Virginia, so he feels the need to appear to be holding the line on this latest Democrat effort to destroy the country. This is how he’s operated for his entire political career.
So, now that the Sock Puppet has put this range of final compromise numbers into the public domain, Manchin will feel the need to come in at the low end of it so he can tell voters he still did them a favor. Given that, let’s say he comes in with a “final” offer of $1.9 trillion. If the head of the radical communist caucus, Pramila Jayapal, is to be believed, that won’t be good enough for her band of demented nitwits.
In her own meeting with the Sock Puppet on Tuesday, Jayapal said that her fellow lunatics need $2.5 to $2.9 trillion on order to feel like they’ve done enough damage for this go-round, and made it very clear that there are no circumstances under which she is willing to go any lower than that. Jayapal’s nitwit caucus is also insisting that all manner of other far-left provisions that Manchin opposes, like repealing the Hyde Amendment and forcing taxpayers to fund abortions through birth, remain in the bill as a part of any compromise.
So we see that, even though the AP and the rest of the Democrat propaganda media are making it seem as if their heroes are on the verge of a big breakthrough here, the reality is that they appear to still be at least half a trillion dollars apart. And half a trillion dollars is still a lot of money, even in the Sock Puppet’s hyper-inflation world.
`In addition to all of this, we also need to understand that Manchin does not hold all the cards in the Democrat senate caucus. There is still the matter of Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema and where she plans to come down. She’s also been holding firm at $1.5 trillion for more than a month now, and has apparently not told anyone that she’s willing to move up at all.
All of this morning’s fake-reporting by our corrupt news media related to Sinema is focused on continuing to support the bullying campaign targeting her that began over the weekend, when she was assaulted by radical protesters in the lady’s room at Arizona State University. The media is so busy supporting that effort that no one is bothering to ask Sinema what she thinks about all of these numbers suddenly flying around.
Sinema can respond to the leftist bullying effort in one of three ways:
Engage in unilateral surrender in the hopes it will make the bullies stop - which would be a futile action on her part given that once you become a target of these bullies they never stop;
Just be a follower and timidly go along with whatever Manchin wants to do; or
Respond by holding firm and showing the voters back in Arizona that she really is that rarest of the rare: A Democrat politician with a spine;
If Sinema chooses either of the first two options, she is likely to become just another one-term senator. If she chooses the latter option and shows herself to be a political “maverick” along the lines of John McCain, she may well have earned herself a senate seat for life. Because we all know how Arizona voters do love their “mavericks.”
That is all.
West Virginians need to find a variable conservative candidate and get rid of Manchin.
The fact that the establishment GOP has never done anything to help them tells you all you need to know about the GOP.
I have come to believe that most "Republican" politicians are nothing more than democrats who changed their stripes because they couldn't get elected otherwise.
Maybe conservatives need to do the same, change parties, sing their song, get elected then sabotage them. Even if it's just one term, think of the fun we could have.
It’s all Kubaki Theater by the Dimocrats, time after time. You’d think people would wake up to their ploy!
